We sat outside in a garden behind the Community Loaves bakery. There was a veggie garden and string lights. The weather gods were smiling. Two guys and their guitars were making sweet background music and of course, there was pizza - lovingly made and delivered to us straight from the oven by the smiling faces of Sarah + Meredith, the owners and bakers of Community Loaves. They had made hearth baked sourdough bases and innovatively topped them with egg + carrot. It was Easter Sunday after all. It was my idea of the perfect Sunday alfresco dinner. Next time, (and fingers crossed there will be many more next times), I will make sure that my appetite for wine won't be destroyed by the previous evenings shenanigans, so that I can enjoy a bottle with my pizza and let the night linger on just that little bit more...
