It's my favourite time of the day.
Knowing that I have this time to gather my non morning self, to begin my day with a slow breakfast, (if not brunch by the time I actually sit down), and to have the time to to gaze out of the window, tea pot full of tea and tea cup in hand - brings me great amounts of joy. Even when I was a teenager, I would get up just a little bit earlier to make myself pancakes before school. I never was a simple cereal kid. The first thing I think about when I wake up, honestly, is what I am going to eat for breakfast. My mind is fairly attuned to the excitement of food. It gets me out of bed. Sweet or savory? Eggs or fruit? Cereal or Bread? Tea, or, tea? ...
